The year 2020 saw phenomenal successes to the industry of entertainment. With a wide range of blockbuster movies at the box office. As well as other platforms that are popular, it was one of the best years to date. It’s difficult to envision what 20 holds for Hollywood with such a wide array of promising possibilities. We’ll offer three predictions for the year ahead as well as some possible release dates that could happen in 2022.

Eternals
The 11th film of Marvel’s film series Eternals is scheduled to premiere. The film will take place in the future when humans have been transformed into aliens. The story centers around an individual named Druig who is leading an expedition to locate the last remaining members of his family. This article will look at the information we have about the film so far, and how it ties to the an earlier time in Marvel mythology.
The plot of Eternals revolves around a race of genetically superior to human beings. They are blessed with many superpowers like immortality and the ability to communicate. They also feel a need to assist other species before helping themselves. Similar to early Marvel stories that depict The Eternals as a group that is primarily based at Olympia, Greece. It shares similar themes to one of Stan Lee’s previous storylines, “The Watcher” (1963). In this tale we are introduced to the Watchers, a race that are always watching the world (sound familiar? ).
Captain Marvel
Captain Marvel is the twenty-first film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and will be released on March 8, 2019. It is written and directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck, with MCU veterans Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Jonathan Schwartz serving as executive producers.
While it’s too early to say anything about the movie’s story or characters (Don’t worry though! We’ll have all of that info up as soon as they are released), we do know that Captain Marvel will explore a deeper level of Carol Danvers’ origins.
“This is not a superhero who’s perfect or otherworldly or has some godlike connection,” Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige told Entertainment Weekly. “She’s just a woman who’s very powerful and very human and happens to be able to
shoot photon beams out of her hands. She will have flaws and strengths like all of our favorite characters.”
For the film, Oscar winner Brie Larson, most recently seen in Kong: Skull Island and 21 Jump Street, will take on the role of Captain Marvel.
