Captain Marvel
Captain Marvel is the twenty-first film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and will be released on March 8, 2019. It is written and directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck, with MCU veterans Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Jonathan Schwartz serving as executive producers.
While it’s too early to say anything about the movie’s story or characters (Don’t worry though! We’ll have all of that info up as soon as they are released), we do know that Captain Marvel will explore a deeper level of Carol Danvers’ origins.
“This is not a superhero who’s perfect or otherworldly or has some godlike connection,” Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige told Entertainment Weekly. “She’s just a woman who’s very powerful and very human and happens to be able to
shoot photon beams out of her hands. She will have flaws and strengths like all of our favorite characters.”
For the film, Oscar winner Brie Larson, most recently seen in Kong: Skull Island and 21 Jump Street, will take on the role of Captain Marvel.
